It has been a decade since Will Holland aka Quantic released his first album on Tru Thoughts. Twelve albums later and Quantic has a vast discography; funky, soulful vibes with the Quantic Soul Orchestra, Flowering Inferno's reggae infused dub, cumbia with The Combo Barbaro, and more. The Best Of Quantic album highlights the stunning range of his work, bringing together some of the biggest tracks from across his many projects.
To celebrate the release and a decade of music from Quantic, the world famous J.Rocc (one of the finest DJs on the planet), created the Best Of Quantic Mix that perfectly incorporates electronic, jazz, dub, hip-hop, cumbia and the many more styles to come from Quantic over the span of ten years.

The Best of Quantic 1 * Jeremy Sole

From XLR8R: While lots of folks have only recently been turned on to cumbia and other Latin rhythms, guys like Will Holland (a.k.a. Quantic) have spent years digging through dusty crates of Central and South American vinyl, constantly in search of fresh beats and breaks. Yet Holland is more than just an old-school enthusiast, as he's fronted countless projects with different artists, musicians, and aims...the Tru Thoughts label has asked KCRW's Jeremy Sole to take a closer look at Quantic's entire body of work. To that end, Sole has assembled Lo Mejor y Sabor de Quantic: A Retrospective of Will Holland, a free 44-minute mixtape that weaves through the Quantic catalog and combines what Sole sees as the man's best work.

I always dig into my reggae collection when the weather gets warm. Usually lots of roots, but over the past few years the lines have blurred and I'm finding that irie meditation comes in different flavors. This mix is a mashup of roots, dub, dubstep, glitchall, grimestep, roots hop, dub nectar???!!! Yeah, all that. Check it!
